Just because you’ve seen the movie adaptation doesn’t mean you’ll get an exact same production in the theater. You never do, I suppose. Case in point: Mamma Mia!
I won’t make a comparison here of the two productions, as that’d be utterly unfair. What I can say, though, is that a Greek-island environ wasn’t at all hard to visualize given the creatively (and durably) crafted set. That, combined with the cast, the script and the songs made watching Mamma Mia! all the more enjoyable.
I shan’t forget to mention that the audience down below were all up on their feet during the encore.
